What can we reap from the bountiful liminal?

Each of us is ever-in-the-midst of transition. There are the small, everyday transitions from waking to sleeping and back again. And then there are the big life changing transitions of birth, death, rebirth. We all experience countless transitions in our days and lives; some of which are best embarked upon with a loving, supportive network around us. The vision of Liminal Bounty is to hold space for, provide meaningful accompaniment through, and support the integration of life’s many thresholds, most especially those that pertain to what Dr. Clarissa Pinkola Estés calls the Life/Death/Life cycle.
I (Katie) have for years had the great honor of supporting others in the journey between what once was and what is becoming. One of the ways I’m skilled in offering this direct support is as a birth doula! My deep connection with the Earth supports me in offering grounded, resonant care for my clients, and my gift for attuning to subtle energy encourages expansive and honest connection through times of great vulnerability and transformation.
The potential offerings of Liminal Bounty are vast. In addition to serving families as a birth doula, I lovingly craft ceremonies to honor an array of transitions large and small (seasonal transitions, weddings, times of grieving, birthdays, anniversaries, starting new chapters, end of life, and so much more…) Liminal Bounty Birth and Beyond serves community members by acknowledging our collective need for care as it pertains to the cyclical nature of the ever-unfolding. To embark into liminal space is a process of surrender. It is through this surrender that we are given the opportunity to reap the bounty of what lies within these liminal places. I’m here to lean into that surrender with you. As one of my teachers says, I am here with you to “Walk with ease in the land of not knowing.”
Taking on a perspective of reverence for liminal spaces allows us to welcome thresholds as potent teachers. Liminal Bounty Birth and Beyond is here to tend such spaces with a diverse and specialized toolkit, offering nourishing layers of support and connection for the experiences of transition that arise throughout our lives.
At present, Liminal Bounty is based in Swannanoa, NC, just outside of Asheville. I am accepting regional clients for January 2026 onward. Liminal Bounty promises to offer equitable access to services for all beings. More specifically stated, Liminal Bounty is inclusive of all races, gender identities, sexual, religious and political preferences. Prices are adaptable and based on income.
